This morning I saw an Instagram reel where a mom said, “I don’t fit in at church anymore,” and told her followers about how she does church at home now. The reel was really cute- homestead mom vibes with casserole dishes of homemade food and fresh bread.
It was shared and viewed thousands of times. The comments section was full of moms echoing her sentiment. "Me neither! We do it at home! We ARE the church, it's not a building!"
I get it. I really do. I’ve been there. But it’s dead wrong.
Listen to what God has taught me about church and 1) why you do need your actual church family and 2) what a dangerous place it is to be wandering on your own.
PS. This is coming from someone who had STRUGGLED with church over the years. God has showed me that in our Father's house there is a place for you.
